Skincare Tracker (“we”, “us”, or “our”) is operated by Apps4Market. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use the Skincare Tracker mobile application and website (collectively, the “Service”). Please read this policy carefully. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Account details (optional email address)
- Skin type, concerns, and goals you enter during onboarding
- Products you add (names, ingredients, barcode data)
- Routine schedules and step configurations
- Daily skin log entries, mood ratings, and concern notes
- Photos you capture within the app (stored locally on your device by default)
Information collected automatically
- Device type, operating system version, and app version
- Anonymous usage analytics (screens visited, features used, session length)
- Crash reports and error logs
- Local weather data (requested by the app to enrich skin log entries — not stored on our servers without your consent)
3. How We Use Your Information
- To provide and personalise the Service (routines, AI Advisor, progress charts)
- To process AI Skin Advisor requests — your product and skin data is sent to the AI model to generate advice
- To send push notification reminders you have configured
- To improve the app through aggregated, anonymised analytics

- To comply with legal obligations
4. AI Features & Data Processing
The AI Skin Advisor feature sends your product ingredient lists, skin log summaries, and stated concerns to a third-party AI provider to generate personalised advice. This data is transmitted securely and is not used to train AI models. We do not send identifiable personal information (such as your name or photos) to the AI provider.
5. Data Storage & Security
Your skincare data is stored primarily on your device. If you enable cloud backup, your data is stored on secure servers with encryption in transit (TLS) and at rest. We implement industry-standard security measures, but no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.
6. Third-Party Services
The Service integrates with the following third-party services, each governed by their own privacy policies:
- Apple App Store (iOS purchases and subscriptions)
- Google Play (Android purchases and subscriptions)
- Analytics provider (anonymised, aggregated usage data)
- AI model provider (for AI Skin Advisor — see Section 4)
7. Advertising
The free tier of the app is supported by non-intrusive advertisements served by our ad network partners. These ads may use anonymised identifiers to show relevant content. Premium subscribers see no ads. You can opt out of personalised ads through your device's privacy settings.
8. Children's Privacy
The Service is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will delete it.
9. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”)
- Export your data in a portable format
- Withdraw consent at any time

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you request account deletion, we will delete or anonymise your data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it for legal purposes.
